Based on our work [1], we discuss how U-duality arises as an exact symmetry of M-theory from T-duality and 11D diffeomorphism invariance. A set of Weyl generators are shown to realize the Weyl group of SO(d, d,Z) and Ed(d)(Z), while Borel generators extend these finite groups into the full Tand U-duality groups. We present a candidate of anomaly and Wess Zumino action of the two dimensional supergravity coupling with matters in a super-Weyl invariant regularization. It is a generalization of the Weyl and the area preserving diffeomorphism invariant formulation of two dimensional gravity theory.
